Review by hotel critic
The hostel offers a range of amenities that cater to travelers seeking both comfort and affordability. The housekeeping was top-notch, ensuring that the dorms and bathroom facilities were always spotless. The option to use the kitchen for cooking provided a homely touch to the stay. One aspect that pleasantly surprised me was the paid shuttle service they offered for tours and excursions. This convenient service made exploring the area hassle-free and added value to the overall experience. The location, just a short walk from the historical center and close to the river, further enhanced the appeal of the hostel. While the absence of certain luxury amenities like a bar/lounge area or flat-screen TVs might deter those seeking a more upscale setting, the cozy terrace and garden furniture created a relaxing ambiance. The outdoor swimming pool was a delightful feature, perfect for unwinding after a day of exploring. In conclusion, Pousada Casa Do Rio Hostel strikes a commendable balance between luxury and value, providing an enriching experience for budget-conscious travelers without compromising on comfort and convenience.
